In the Beginning...
In the summer of 2009, the Office of Minority Health and Public Health Policy began a search for a consultant who could provide us with a report and training on the effective use of free or low-cost technology tools. During our search, we found Jayne Cravens with Coyote Communications. Jayne interviewed us to identify our needs and set out to find tools that would help us accomplish our goals. She created a comprehensive website for us and gave us initial learning goals and even recommended several advanced goals for us to tackle down the road.
Well, our initial deadline passed and only a few of us had completed the initial learning goals. So, a colleague and I recommended that we "chunk" the learning goals to make them less overwhelming. We also modified the original goals slightly. That strategy yielded slightly better results, but we still have quite a bit to learn.
What I'm posting here are pages for each of the goals that I created for our staff. In each, I included links to Jayne's original content.
